I gave up watching England years ago, seriously I did. International sides are just not up to the quality of sides in the Champions League.
I say this as somebody that was at the '66 World Cup final.

You two are just sad! You need to stay in more and sit in front of a computer screen.

Six. I have no idea how my old man got the tickets but I can still remember the day. Bloomin' 'ot it was.
No English flags, everybody waved Union Jacks in them days, and I was cheering the Germans for the first few minutes until my dad explained that we were playing in Red. It was difficult to comprehend at that age how England could possibly have been the away team.
I remember the tension of the last few minutes and then the Germans equalised and it all got to me and I burst into tears. My old man smacked me around the back of the head for embarrassing him. The confusion over the third goal may have been bad on TV but it was worse being there, you had no idea what was going on.
As for the 4th I couldn't believe that they allowed it with people on the pitch. I remember thinking that extra time was all very confusing, never experienced that before. I remember the big street party afterwards in Leytonstone, where we used to live.
