SKJ An-12 in FSX
Has anyone succeeded in getting Sergey's An-12 to appear in FSX?
Cheers,
Martin

Martin, I'll have a look this evening, not sure if I did or not. I've certainly got a bunch of An-12s floating around, just need to figure out whose.
Edited to add:
They do work, I used the ones from a WoAI package first and then added my other paints to those using the BK model.
What issues are you having?

I find the best way to work out if an ai model isn't showing up properly in FSX is to plonk the default cessna panel into its folder, and then have a look at it in the aircraft selection menu. Does the AN-12 show up if you do that?

... sometimes it only needs a small remark and all hell breaks loose....
Thanks for the feedback, I will test the trick with making it a flyable aircraft when I come home from work and report back.

Re: SKJ An-12 in FSX
Jeez, that took me quite some time to figure out...
I tried with the panel trick: no aircraft in the FSX selection. I removed the aircraft folder, added it fresh from the archive plus the panel - same result.
So I went and downloaded the WoAI package and sure enough - there she was. Then I added the military model from the non workings installation plus texture - whow, what a beautiful aircaft, waiting to be selected.
Then I spent quite some time, comparing, changing model and air files, all to no avail. Exchanging the complete aircraft.cfg content except the [fltsim.x] section... no bonus. The WoAI installation was perfect, the newest model did not show.
Meanwhile I felt personally offended. And now guess what I found, in the original package, unsuspiciously and unobserved at the very top of the file:
I have written Sergey and asked him to correct the source

ui_manufacturer=Antonov
ui_type=An-12
ui_variation=A (base)
description=An-12 early Model by SKJ & SBAI

It's amazing what the smallest of symbols can do when in the wrong place
