Retro Tornado paints
Retro Tornado paints
I have slapped some paint on Fernando's Tornado to cover MFG1 and MFG2 circa 1990 in the three colour camo (87D/E) with weathering, and my attempt at the effects of reverser system. There is one exception in the shape of MFG1 43-87 which remained in the old colours for many years.
They are on Avsim if you want them.

Re: Retro Tornado paints
Nice screenshots! Reminds me of my active time. I don't know how many times I was called out to the flightline to check some red light at the CMP of 43+87 (if you are familiar with the Tornado: E1...E4 IIRC ). But still I liked that bird as at the end it was the only one wearing the old Navy scheme. It was kind of a mascot. And now, the place is closed.
Some of the a/c have been assigned to different bases or put on display. In case you install his paints along with some flightplans and have GAF Tonado plans as well note that you might find some regs double in your sim.

It was thanks to you that I remembered it didn't get the new scheme.

Re: Retro Tornado paints
Does anybody has a flightplan and scenery for Eggebeck + those Tornado's?
Re: Retro Tornado paints
Jan (Sprocky) did some for MFG2 at Eggebek and they are on Avsim as 'flightplans_etme.zip'.
I don't have anything decent for MFG1 but managed to cobble some from various packages to get some of them in the air. If you come across any I would be pleased to use them also.

Re: Retro Tornado paints
I had some in the works for Jagel (MFG1) but my life has changed from "some" spare time to "almost no" spare time.

I have been slapping some more paint on Fernando's Tornado. This time its the turn of the Italian Air Force. Just uploaded to Avsim are the Tornados of 6 Stormo, 36 Stormo and the then recently formed 50 Stormo circa 1990.

Thank you.
I put an optional update on Avsim yesterday morning and its only just appeared. If you wish to have the dual control aircraft with no stores then drop the updated textures in. It uses something I learnt from this forum, the devious use of the Alpha channel to hide the stores.
