Strangely enough my favourite won't be done by Mike P as it never entered service - the 4000. i saw it fly at Farnborough and I was really impressed by it.

And the RAF seriously considered it after the TSR 2 was cancelled and even sent RAF crews to France to give it the once over.

Yeah they proposed putting the Spey inside it. That would have had some serious poke, nearly an extra 10k lbs of thrust.
