Already tried that - here's a picture of the maximized window so you can see what I mean. Also checkout the atc_parking_types dropdown. This is not a biggie as it resets when you select the dropdown menu.

Just to help Martin here, what screen size are you using?

Please check version 2.0.5 here.

Changes:
fixed: corrected identical reporting message for "no aircraft.cfg found" and "aircraft.cfg does not contain any [fltsim.x] section"
added: re-introduced the "x many lines deleted" message after deleting keys
Cheers,
Martin

Martin,
Even before 2.05 there was a problem with the all aircraft report in as much as when selecting only errors it was reporting all folders whether they had errors or not, I can send you a report from 2.04 if it helps.
With 2.05 the situation has not changed. Now it might be that it thinks that there is an error and not showing it, or that there is an error that I am not interested in and therefore don't want to see it, i.e. callsign check.

Let me know if you want the output.
Steve

Yes, please attach me the report, Steve. All other have reported back that this error is gone. I wonder what is going on here.

Martin

The bad thing is that I can't reproduce it. Can you try with your taskbar set to auto-hide, please? That is the only obvious difference (not taking the OS into consideration).

This is how it looks for me:

Hi Martin

Tried autohiding taskbar - same issue. As you can see from my screenie, my XP is quite customized, so I knocked out all the bells and whistles, set a very basic default theme and still the same issue. I'm thinking is maybe a graphics card driver problem - I'm using quite an old driver(18 months to be precise) - I'll try a later version and let you know what happens. Will probably be tomorrow.

Cheers Dinga!!

Please check version 2.0.6 here.

Changes:
fixed: some code change because of another report that error-free aircraft are listed in the error only report (awaiting final confirmation)
added: option to not remember the last used aircraft folder but start in the AIAE program folder instead (default is remember aircraft path)

Steve,
does this cure the positive listings in the errors-only report?
Cheers,
Martin

Please check version 2.0.7 here.

Changes:
added: option to check for empty folders

This version closes the current development cycle. Any last-minute-bugs will be fixed if possible. New requests will go onto the wish list for the coming development cycle.
AIAE will be release as a separate package and - as usual - together with the new Airport Design Editor 1.55, also coming the next days.

Thank you very much for your participation!
Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin

As I suspected, after updating the drivers (nVidia 285.58 to 307.74) I noticed a change. At 1280x1024 the whole window is now visible. However as soon as I drop down to 1024x768 the same isue. Any ideas other than swapping resolutions just for one program?

Cheers, Dinga

Idea - Would it be possible to add scroll bars as a workround?

Martin,
2.0.7 does indeed fix the problem that I described with the validate all report, at least for the atc_airlines check.

The full installer version 2.0.8 has been uploaded to AVSim, FlightSim and The Owls Nest.

The open items on the feature request list are:
  • Analyze the mdl file for needed textures
  • Delete all keys but the ones selected (against a wish list)
  • Don't report non aircraft folders in the validation
  • Possibility to apply changes of fs9 mdl wingspan to all models in current aircraft folder
Thank you very much for your participation in this beta phase - I found it extraordinary productive, both in regards of testing and feature request.
A new beta cycle will start soon.
Cheers,
Martin

Hi Dinga,

I have now a working solution for your 1024*768 issue. It will be included in the coming release (March 2013).

Martin

Thanks Martin!! - thought you'd forgot me  I did some more experimenting with Windows and could not solve it. I do have some custom .dll files in my OS (shell32.dll being the main one), but these are only graphical tweaks succh as icons and ani's so I can't see these causing the issue as I patched the .dll files myself.

No, Dinga. It's not your computer, it was my decision to rate 1024*768 as obsolete
I have now made two forms for the program interface and check the screen resolution during start. If it is 1024*768 then I load a special form. It is more stuffed than the new one, but it fully shows and therefore should solve this issue. All other with higher resolution will keep the larger interface.
Cheers,
Martin

Aha! Now I understand - I did experiment with setting my desktop at 1280x1024, but everything is minute, so I adjusted icon sizes, dpi settings etc and just couldn't get a happy medium otherwise I'd stick with it. I do run FS9 at the higher resolution though! Thanks again!! :D

Just to give an idea about the real estate of the two forms...

Both are started together, so this is the real difference.
