Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
These were reported as errors both with the last and current version?
Cheers,
Martin

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
Yes, and maybe previously too. It seems to be limited to a few GA(General Aviation) folders only too! Some with many aircraft, some with just a few.
As a possible idea, all my checkboxes are checked except 3; atc_airlines found count, atc_defined in and atc_airlines unknown. i know these folders have many aircraft where no airline is allocated in config, ie, atc_airline= Could this be a possible cause? I'll run another validation to see..

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
The full installer version 2.1.18 has been uploaded to AVSim, FlightSim and The Owls Nest.
The open items on the feature request list are:
I will fix bugs and add the two feature request mentioned above over the time.
The open items on the feature request list are:
- Optional delete texture folder when you delete a [fltsim.x] section
- Delete all keys but the ones selected (against a wish list)
I will fix bugs and add the two feature request mentioned above over the time.

Martin

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
Hi Martin
Have just updated my Airport Design Editor to ver 01.55.4809 and also your AI Aircraft Editor to v2.1.18
When I open the Aircraft Editor I get:
Run-time error '76':
Path not found
once I click on the OK button then the main page comes up but it does not show any data ???
Have tried to delete and re-install but same problem.

Pete, is the interface usable at all? Can you navigate to drives / folders?

I can move around th left-hand pane with no problems and see the folders/sub-folders in my various Aircraft sections.
I just cannot get it to show anything when I get there. Right side of window stays blank !!!

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
Hey - purely by chance, I created this same situation earlier and it was my own doing. After analysing a single folder and closing the editor - I renamed the folder! Same error, and navigation was possible, but that was all - no ability to analyse anything. Closed the editor, renamed the folder back to what it was originally and problem solved!!

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
I had the same as Dinga. I had it check a ship folder and then closed it. I then deleted the ship folder, I could not get it to check another folder or get passed the error. To recover I restored the deleted folder and hey presto.
I then chose another folder and closed before deleting the ship one again.
The issue is the fact that you probably have 'remember last aircraft folder' set. You can't unset it unless you have loaded properly. I tried looking for a registry key that points to a folder but couldn't find it.

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
I have that path issue fixed and will release the update this evening. But I don't think this will solve Pete's problem
Pete, we will figure that out - sooner or later!
Edited: maybe that will indeed fix Pete's issue anyway - we will see.

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
Martin
Have just switched on the PC and decided to try once more with v2.2.18 and it now seems to be
working perfectly. the only small problem I have is that after you do a Validate aircraft and close the text editor
then the main pane snaps back to centre of my home screen from were I had moved it (monitor 2).
Not sure what was the cause of the original problem, can only assume that it was something that got stuck in
memory during first install and was subsequently removed by the PC being switched off overnight.

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
Great news, Pete. Then indeed your problem will go away with the update this evening. Unbelievable that this issue survived to beta cycles and the pops up at so many placespetebramley wrote:Martin

I will also look into your jumping screen problem.

Re: AI Aircraft Editor - planned update
Goto Menu Help --> Check for update. Version 2.1.19 should be found. Click on 'Update', and it should be downloaded. After it says 'Download completed' click on 'Finish' and the Updater should run and update your current installation.
Changes:
fixed: absurd behavior when 'remember last folder' is pointing to no longer existing or renamed folder
changed: if .Net is not found, the dialog telling you offers to load the MS page with the .Net 4.0 download
