thanks for these.

I have been meaning to update the AF1 and other flightplans recently. I do a lot of flying into SAN and YVR and its not realistic to see AF1 everytime I go in there.

For our Current President HNL, BOS, and ORD would be appropriate destinations.

Coincidentally I posted some updated SEC OF STATE FP on the AIG forums for Sec Kerrys first trip overseas if you wanted to update those.

Much Obliged and thanks again,

Dick
I wouldn't worry too much about updating the Andrews package yourself....just saying

Do you mean that it loses the nose scoop earlier than you would think?

It does it in game if you zoom in and out of the model....When the LODS kick in.

I didn't see it in the game but I do get the same result in the viewer. It is strange that nobody else has seen it, so I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that FSX changes LODs earlier than FS9.

Hi Steve
I have seen it at Mildenhall in both FS9 and FSX although much more pronounced in FSX. Only just made it out when approaching the aircraft at ground level in FS9.

I'll take a look. I still need to upload a version with the fixed AFD file for Offutt anyways.

If the model needs a mod, I will combine them as well as post the model here as well.

Bugger! They're still adding antennas to it!

Guess that makes two models to fix.

One will be for Sky TV......

Interesting to see that it now has the City of Lincoln badge on the nose and a 51 Sqn badge on the tail :)

Thanks so much for this package. I live in Omaha and see these almost daily doing touch-n-goes at KOFF. Quite a magificent site to see these elegent aircraft flying in my backyard.

I know they also shoot approaches at KOMA, KLNK, and KSUX. I have not had time to crack open the flight plans, but are these TNG's represented?

That's kind of a difficult question to answer.
Are they accurate? No, they can't be by the nature of military flights. Are they representative? That is subjective. We make up flights that we think they might do, but we have no knowledge of their actual flights.

If you think you know more about their routines, fell free to amend any plans to your liking. That is why we include the raw plans in every package.

Trevor, these are best guesses and generally designed to get the AI seen in the game. If you want and are comfortable adjusting flightplans, do so then post them here for those that want more accuracy. The AI engine sadly only does a week, so you are limited to how many places the AI can go. I was lucky to have a package released in my backyard, MAIW 21st Cav, and adjusted the FP's to match where I know they fly real world.

This package does try to sim the AI RC's on "missions", so they are all over the world within that limited week long schedule.

Thanks for the replies gents. I totally understand and support what you guys do, so I have no qualms at all. I assumed that was the case based on past experience, I should have peeked under the covers first.

I'll play around with adding some TNG's and see how it turns out. I put my own package together many years ago and think I had them doing those.

Thanks again!

Re: Offutt Air Force Base Support Thread

After some searching around, it appears that there is a new configuration for the USAF RC-135W's that is identical to the RAF RC-135's of which the first has recently been delivered.

Judging by the photos in this Kadena AFB spotting blog: http://rodn.blog.fc2.com/blog-date-201304.html going all the way back to April 2013, there are now a couple USAF RC-135s that are now sporting this new configuration which removes the larger overwing wingtip antennas and adds a different antenna array on the top of the fuselage as well as what appears to be a satellite dish dome towards the rear.

The good news is that you can get the new model here: http://www.militaryaiworks.com/newforum ... 68&t=14007

It's the RAF Rivet Joint model so all you need to do is use it in your Offutt AFB RC-135V/W folder. Either change the aircraft.cfg model entry or rename the model folder to something else.

I'm too lazy today to go back and figure out which serials so far have been given this upgrade.

Just joined this forum. Thanks for the KOFF runway fix.

A bit of info for HOLY CHEESE re the black wing on some RC/EC-135s. The original Cobra Ball was maybe the first black winged RC-135. It was used for visually tracking and filming Russian missle launches 400 miles or so west of the Kamchatka area back in the 70s or 80s. A huge telescope was carried aft of the cockpit area and a large sliding door was opened to focus on the distant launches. The flat black wing, engine supports, and nacelles were to eliminate stray light from reflecting into the telerscope lens. When the engines were upgraded it appears that the new nacelles were not painted black but the right wing was not repainted grey either. Interesting colors.
