I apologize guys, apparently I have made a mistake in my instructions. In order to appear properly, the Tokyo Heliport needs the Tokyo_Photo file as well as the TK2004PG, both available from the same page. That should help anyone pulling out the hair because of bay like floating detected at the heliport.

Sorry.

Re: JASDF Bases

Post by Alan Robertson »

I'm really enjoying the various Japanese sceneries posted on this thread and want to thank all those who have contributed to it. I have a couple of requests. Firstly, does anyone have the Editvoicepack callsigns for 'Mighty' and 'Battleax' that have featured in a couple of the more recent aircraft files? Secondly, I notice that in most of the flightplans the ability of ATC to call out these, and other, callsigns has been suppressed by the use of the 'R' designator rather than 'F' within said plans. The 'R' designator will force ATC to use the aircraft reg instead. The following instruction within the TrafficTools' program will maybe explain this better:

F or R
‘F’ in this field specifies that if the aircraft is associated with an airline then the airline name and flight number are to be used for an ATC call sign (e.g. "Landmark 1213"). ‘R’ forces the aircraft registration (tail number) to be used as a call sign even for airlines.

Hope this helps and thanks in advance if anyone can help out on the missing callsigns.
Regards,

Alan

I didn't even know that Fs and Rs were being put in the FPs. I'm using a GUI program to generate them. I just assumed that they weren't using callsigns because I didn't have the proper files for them. I'll see what I can do about changing Rs to Fs.

Here's another one with a runway way too short to land a Viper on, for our rotorhead friends:

Komatsushima (RJOP)

Includes paints and FPs for the 9 SH-60Js of 24 Kokutai and a VCPmod for the airport. Uses all our usual friends for libraries, nothing new. Does include a landclass file to reshape the bay a little bit.

What file is the landclass one in RJOP as I believe it should be put separately into the Landclass folder? Thanks in advance.

Sometimes the obvious is just too obvious.

Thanks for the kick.

RJOP.LWM2.bgl
Thanks for that. Would I be right in saying that all bgl scenery files with 'LWM2' somewhere in their name are Landclass files or is that an assumption too far? I do seem to have dozens of them for various sceneries in my Addon Scenery/Scenery folder and I wonder if they should all be moved to the Landclass folder. Any ideas?

LWM2 almost always are landclass/terrain mask files. They will work in any scenery file that isn't associated with a texture folder. Some people choose to organize them into specific landclass folders to keep track of them.

For example

NO GOOD
RJOP/
/scenery
/texture

GOOD
RJOP/
/scenery
