retro andrews

Post by VulcanDriver »

I'm doing the 89th Airlift Wing as in 1969, so I'll need an AI VC-137 and C-135 repaints. Anyone know where I can find them. Also what other a/c were based at Andrews then?

Thanks
John

I think that you may find that F-4s were.

Hi Steve, that makes sense. I'll check that out. I've found a repaint of a PAI 707 for AF1 so looking for support a/c now.

Support aircraft would be C/VC-131, C/VC-137, C/VC-140 (Lockheed Jetstar), VC-6 (Beech King Air), U-4 (Aero Commander 500), C-124C (airlift of support vehicles). The DC ANG had F-100C (up to 6/1969) and then F-105D (received 6/1969).

Thanks Larry, it'll be fun hunting down the AI transports :D

Edit: CalClassic has 95% of the transports in one package :P
