I already have, the Hun looks good there. Don't forget the 66th TRW RF-101C's that were based there when France ordered the USAF out in the 60s.Firebird wrote:You can use Brian's Wethersfield scenery for the 20th TFW birds.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
This month, I'll have some late-model F-100Ds, F-100Fs, and the exports, to add some friends to that one lone AdlA F-100 I see in those nice screenshots......

Very nice video, with just the right music to become melancholic.
It must have been lots of fun those days.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Just uploaded Part 3, covering late-model F-100Ds, from Vietnam to the end of service with the USAF and ANG. I also threw in 18 repaints worth of ANG F-100Cs..... Next stop, F-100F, and then the exports.
Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Nice one, Mike.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Somebody should track what I repaint weekly when I go on these rampages...... This is F-100 Part 4, covering the F-100F in its entirety, 8 models and 128 repaints, uploading to AVSIM as we speak.....
Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Mike, thoroughly enjoying your Century series birds. Especially the Huns. Are we going to see the airshow teams paints? I hope so, as I have a little project in planning using all of the ones I can find, including support aircraft.mikeblaze wrote:We're about halfway done with the Hun oddesey. I still have to do the F-100D Vietnam and post-Vietnam USAF/ANG units, Skyblazer/Thunderbird paints, and clean up a little North African F-100C painting I forgot to do (small expansion pack overwrite file coming); plus do the F-100F and the exports. More to follow.
TIA

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
I will be doing the Skyblazers and Thunderbirds teams, planned to be the last part of this project, after the exports. I have the ROCAF and RDAF done, the French are a little more involved because of units and diverse tail art, but I think I have all the tail art I need. The Turks are pretty straightforward, and I will release all exports in a single package. I am working around the impending release of my Su-25 Frogfoot project, the Italian AMX for MAIW use, and an impending wildfire season which will rip me away from this hobby unexpectedly, to be sure.
Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Looking forward to all of them. Thank You sir.
Here's hoping the fire season is short and quiet this year. Your area needs some rain.

Here's 112 repaints worth of exports for four countries, and all four main models are in use here (A/C/D/F)....... Going to AVSIM today.

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Are the paint kits for the F-100 series going to be posted? I would like to do repaints for the squadrons that were at RAF Wethersfield, having lived there 1966-1970 and 1979-1982.
Thanks.
P.S. Excellent work on all the models..Thank You

Re: Century Series (American Heavy Metal)
Today is a good day for this well-worn thread. I am releasing squadron repaints for select aircraft, as I get some serial research done. This weekend is all about the F-106, with late ADC/TAC units serving well into the 1980s being added to the FS world. The following squadrons have just been uploaded to AVSIM:
5th FIS, Minot AFB
48th FIS, Langley AFB
49th FIS, Griffiss AFB
84th FIS, Castle/Hamilton AFBs
87th FIS, K.I. Sawyer AFB/Duluth IAP
318th FIS, McChord AFB
101st FIS, Otis AFB (Massachutsetts ANG)
The 48th was missed in my intial release package, hope this makes up for it. Also, soon to follow will be the rest of the 80s Sixes (ADWC and four more ANG units).
Flightplan gurus, take the hint, lol....
