Scenery RAF Coltishall (EGYC)
I want to thank Brian Clarke for his new RAF Coltishall scenery. It's a great addition to the retro world.

Re: Scenery RAF Coltishall (EGYC)
Many thanks Volador.
I enjoyed doing this one.
Its taken a long time to complete for various reasons but the end product was worth it.
Nick Black produced the Jags and Chris Brown did some nice paints.
Hope the added comprehensive Obs Libs list has helped for the scenery to show.
Kindest regards
Brian

Re: Scenery RAF Coltishall (EGYC)
Its been on the table for about two and a half years Mark but for various reasons plus two burglaries which took not only my computer but hard drives to. To be honest after the last one September 2016 I lost heart and let things go but I found a couple of pensticks which were not taken. On one was a partially started RAF Coltishall. The taste buds were wetted once more so got stuck in. Hope you like the end product.

Hi all
Brilliant scenery that ive been flying in and out of loads and starting to create movies from, just have one slight hitch
I've installed all the sceneries needed that I didnt already have installed but for some reason all the trailers are untextured so I was hoping someone could point me to the texture file im missing ( as you can see the tyres on the trailers are textured....its just the trailer )
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt.
If you have already downloaded the MAIW Global Lib Objects just extract the Textures into your Main FS9 Addon Scenery/Texture file It will want to overwrite but let it do it to update the textures and you RAF_GSE_1980's Acc trailer texture should show.

Re: Scenery RAF Coltishall (EGYC)
Didnt work im afraid, even re-downloaded the MAIW Global Lib Objects and reinstalled them but still the same blank texture
However it happens at pretty much every scenery that uses that trailer so im going to ignore it, put it down to an FS glitch and carry on flying as normal
p.s looking at all the textures that have come with various RAF and GGSE packages none seem to have a similiar or close to name as RAF_GSE_1980's Acc trailer so it could be that 1 file doesnt exist on my system haha

Hi Matt.
There are 8 textures for the Houchin ground power units. Its the RAF GSE 1980's bgl 61. Try re introducing those textures again.

Re: Scenery RAF Coltishall (EGYC)
Are you saying that you get that unpainted scenery at a lot of bases?
If so I wonder if you have got the MAIW Global libs installed properly. That is activated and having a higher priority, which equates to a lower layer number, than any scenery (see the package readme). The texture concerned is called HOUCHIN_48KW.BMP and is in the Global libs install. I would do a system search and you should find only one and it should be in a texture folder of an active scenery. You can use something like the Everything search proggie from here https://www.voidtools.com/. It is quick and also portable.
If that is the case then I am wondering if the reason you are not getting any other missing textures is that you have duplicates of the other libs in other sceneries. If so you can remove those libs and save yourself space.
I would check your Global Libs priority.
If you are not happy messing around with the scenery.cfg file then may I suggest you you use SceneryConfigEditor which can be obtained from here http://fs-sceditor.sourceforge.net/.
Even though I am confident in what I am doing with the file I always use it as it is a doddle to add new scenery into a specific priority. It will also show up any errors as well.

Many thanks Steve, that's much more informative than the answer I could give.

It was a duplicate scenery library, all textures are working now

That's good news Miguel

Excellent. Problem saved and disk space reclaimed, you can't get better than that.
