Although you couldn't supply this as an implace feature, due to us not having the authority, there is nothing to prevent you following these instructions to mod your Tornado for an improved experience.
1. Download the reverser_fx_fs9.zip from Avsim from here - https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?C ... DLID=64515
2. Place the "imp_large_a.wav" file from that zip into your FS9\Sounds folder
3. Make a copy of the "fx_nicks_tchdwn_s.fx" supplied by JY and found in your FS9\Effects folder and call it "fx_nicks_tchdwn_s_rev.fx"
4. Open "fx_nicks_tchdwn_s_rev.fx" in any text editor that you prefer to use.
5. Replace line 4
Code: Select all
Display Name=NICKS LEAR and SMALL JET SERIES TOUCHDOWN EFFECT WITH VORTEX
Code: Select all
Display Name=NICKS LEAR and SMALL JET SERIES TOUCHDOWN EFFECT WITH VORTEX, Sound by Thorsten Reichert 2005
Sound=6
Sound Param=1
7. Under the [Effects] section amend the line :-
Code: Select all
touchdown = fx_nicks_tchdwn_s, 1
Code: Select all
touchdown = fx_nicks_tchdwn_s_rev, 1
8. Give that aircraft type a try in the sim and listen to the aircraft land.
If you like it amend all the other JYAI Tornados to match. If you don't then simply reverse out the change [ no pun intended ] in the aircraft.cfg file.
It goes without saying that you can also use the same effect file for any other aircraft that uses athrust reverser e.g. Viggen.
Now this works for FS9.
It may or may not work for FSX/P3D due to the inbuilt sound library index having different file names for each system. If the FSX or P3D library names for sound effects can be found then this mod can be amended for those systems too.
If anybody tries it for those systems then gets positive resuts let us know what you did.
