They are supplied as .bgl files! Open the download, run the installer to a temporary folder and have a look.
Over and out.

Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
Are you using Abacus EZ Scenery or Flight 1 Instant Scenery 3? You have referred to both. As John says, EZ Scenery is NOT compatible with FSX. Instant Scenery 3 is not directly compatible with FSX:SE (but there is a fix for that).ALEXFORZINI wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 21:04 Objects in the MAIW global libraries are .bgl objects. they cannot be used in ez
Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
They are bgls.
We appreciate that English is not your first language. Maybe you could tell us what is your first language maybe somebody here speaks it.
It seems to be that you want to know how to add the MAIW libs to Instant Scenery so that you can use them. If this is correct, then the chances are that nobody knows as I am not aware of anybody that uses Instant Scenery.
Most scenery people here add the objects directly using ADE.
So if you want answers about Instant Scenery then you will have to read the manual on that or ask on their forum for help with that.
If you want to add the MAIW libs to ADE and use that to create scenery then the ADE manual tells you how to do that.
If the problem is a language issue then please say.

Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
OK. In which case you have to look at the Instant Scenery doc on how to know about other add-on libraries.
It seems that nobody here uses it so we are just guessing. Each scenery program has its own way of doing something.
Each scenery program needs to be told about the addon libraries and they are all different.
EZ-Scenery has one way, ADE has another, and it would seem that Instant Scenery has another.

Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
I think I have Instant Scenery 3 somewhere on an archive HDD. I'll have a look and see if I can make some sense of it - I can't remember ever using it!
Edit:
Indeed I do have IS3, but as I feared it does not work with FSX:SE. There was a fix produced, but that disappeared with the developer and the product some years ago. However, I do also have the manual, and that describes quite well on Page 28 how to use an add-on library to provide extra scenery objects for IS to place. It seems very simple, and is just a matter of selecting Options then Enable Add-on Global Libraries (and Add-on Local Libraries if you have geo-referenced libraries). The libraries you wish to use must be in a Scenery folder within FSX (Addon Scenery will do fine). You will probably need to create the thumbnails for use in IS, and that process is described on Page 35/36/37 of the manual.

Instant Scenery:
The thumbs have to go into "Instant Scenery Files \ thumbnails \ ThumbnailMaker output \" below your default% documents% folder (e.g. C: \ Users \ Admin \ Documents \ Instant Scenery Files \ thumbnails \ ThumbnailMaker output)
he tells me this

Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
And he is right. In this folder you have to copy the thumbnails in order to see them in Instant Scenery
Cheers,
Martin

Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
I think we're now into 'computer basics 101'. The manual is clear. It can be translated if necessary (using another website). You're using an obsolete program which is no longer supported by its publisher, but there is a support forum at https://www.simforums.com/forums/scener ... rum31.html. That is where you will get the information you need if what we've told you here is insufficient.

Re: Issue with John Stinstrom libraries
You save the file as an AD project file (File/save airport). You export to a .bgl file by clicking the "Compile" button top right. In both cases you will need to specify the path to the saved folder. Better if you read the manual first. You can't really navigate ADE by intuition.
