Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
Just noticed some weird behaviour of the german CH-53 Stallions, making a "Jumping Jack Flash" at Gütersloh:
1. Straight from the ground:
2. Then a quick jump within a circle:
3. Afterwards a jump into the air and so on while getting higher and more far away, always doing frantic circles.
Wrong fuel?

My guess would be the contact points for FS9 don't work as planned in P3D.
You will need somebody that has P3D modify them for satisfaction.
Sorry.

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
Thank you, Steve.
Hmm - I thought I use the conversion which work in P3D? Is there anybody else who have the same behaviours?

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
Manfred, I have no clue why your CH-53's are bouncing. I did some traffic spawning tests with them at the ETUO P3D scenery I got from you and they are OK on my side. Then I lowered my target framerate from unlimited to 10 fps and still no bouncing (which to me is an indication the contact points/MOI values are OK). I am afraid this is not a usual problem, otherwise many more people would have reported it since the converted models were released June last year.

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
The only other thing that immediately springs to mind is that you have two different heights for afcads at the same location.
Normally, in FS9, if there were different heights it would manifest as parked aircraft being at one height and landing aircraft arriving at the second height.
Not quite the same but maybe P3D gives a different effect if this happens.

Thank you, guys.
I will try to sort it out, there will be a solution for sure...

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
Okay, I solved the problem. It was indeed completely wrong contact points in my package (not sure why...).
I copied and pasted the Nemeth CH-53 contact points and did some few corrections to the noise gear, and now it works fine:

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
Manfred, can you please confirm the aircraft.cfg entries which caused the problem did not come from the MAIW conversion pack? I need to be sure the MAIW conversion pack is not the cause.

Manfred, thanks for confirming you used the conversion pack values first. Unfortunately the mystery remains unsolved why the MAIW values caused bouncing at your end and the Nemeth values do not...

I think it's because the gear compression vales (8, 9 and 10) are quite different in the two sets.

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
It remains a mystery, as Henk said - why does it only happen with my helis and not with others? Strange...
Finally, it's fine that it only appeared in my case..... And that I could find a solution. So all's well that ends well....

Re: MAIW MBAI Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Family Conversion Support
I know what you mean. Some things that you wouldn't think will affect it, do. This is is why something will only affect a small number of people. The biggest surprise to me was your fps setting. The lower it is the more prone you are to 'weird stuff'.
