As I recently discovered the F-4 that possibly came with this package I wondered how I can make the smoke a little more realistic. It seems to be a little too bright and too light. I remember those birds throwing lot of dark dust out of their engines. Does anybody have different settings for the effect that come closer to the thing I want it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Sprocky, I still haven't had a chance to chat to Barry about this, however I shall tell you what I seem to recall about the original package smoke decision.
The package was for the current Luftwaffe strength which is for the F-4F ICE upgraded planes. These had the upgraded smokeless engines. Now they were smokeless only compared to the original J79s and not in real terms, so they had smoke but not as visible as the smoke stacks that we knew for the aircraft when they were delivered.
Now the conversation we want to have is whether we want to darken and thicken the smoke, leave it as it is or whether we provide both. Hopefully this explains the current situation.

F4 SMOKE
HI SPROKY
TRY PUTTING THESE COMMAND LINES IN YOUR AIRCRAFT CFG FILE
[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0 = 0, 0, -2, fx_l_smoke
smoke.1 = 0, 0, 2.6, fx_r_smoke
PUT 2 // IN FRONT OF ORIGINAL LINES SO YOU CAN REVERSE AFFECTS IF YOU DONT LIKE IT.
ITS FROM THE IRIS MIG 29, I USE THESE SMOKE AFFECTS ON MY F4'S.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU.

There is a super smoke effect by a guy named Russell Blagg, designed for the CaptainSim F104 which creates a lovely short trail of smoke behind the jets...you can find it at AVSIM below
