I've downloaded the freeware white sands addon for Holloman AFB and I cannot get it to show up at all. I've put it in just about every sceney folder i could think of lol, but still nothing. does it matter that i have UT?
The instructions say place the .bgl-file in your Addon/scenery-map.

Are you talking about the landclass file addon that puts the White Sands area just southwest of Holloman??
If so, I have that addon and it works fine, but I can't find the file just yet. What's the exact name of the bgl file so I can search for it?

Lemme have a look for it.
OK I found it straight away. It's in my Addon Scenery/Scenery folder along with all my afcads etc.
Make sure in your scenery library settings in FS9 that your Addon Scenery folder is always at the top of your list above everything else.

Yea it needs to always be up there so that your afcads are always on the top level of scenery or for anything else you want "above" everything else. I forget but there's something like 76 layers of scenery starting with terrain mesh at number 1 and overlaying stuff layer by layer on top of that. For example the roads and railroads are level 6 and the airport background polygons are layer 7.
So in your case, probably what was happening was that you had the White Sands file below your terrain textures for that area. So it was there, but it was burried under something else.
Glad we got you sorted out.
