This is from a friend who flies on-line. Can anyone help?
Is there any way of flying on-line and still have the AI traffic in place?
I do my VA on-line flying with IVAO, with the avowed intention of having
lots of traffic to dodge around and to fly under realistic ATC. In reality
the flight density isn't anywhere near high enough, unless I'm flying out
of Sciphol or Frankfurt, and that's pretty rare for me.
The other day I was operating out of Chek Lap Kok (Hong Kong's new airport)
and off-line the place was knee-deep in wonderfully busy and colourful
traffic of all types and airlines, as I use JFs Traffic add-on. Off-line it
was totally empty! Quite stupid as the real place would never be so empty.
So the question is, is it possible to run some sort of patch to keep the AI
traffic visible to me when I'm flying on-line?

John, the answer when I was involved in online flying is simply no. However its been over a year so things may have changed since then.
The problem is that the only way that we could see this happening is if the server that your are connected to is running AI as only traffic that is connected to the server is visible.
At the time all server software wasn't capable of running AI.

Unlike in FS9, FSX when used with an FSInn server (may also do it with a FSHost server, I do not know) allows YOU to see what AI you have installed on your machine while flying online - sadly it does not allow everyone to see your AI, unless of course you're all on FSX with synchronised time and all got the same AI package running...!
