CC and BCC

Post by aerogator »

Hey guys, is it possible to copy and/or blind copy with a PM? Couldn't seem to figure out how to do this.

Thanks, :)

Well I have just tried it, and it definitely selects correctly.
There is a box on the left hand side, you can either type or select a user in there and then click on either add[BCC] or add[To] and they definitely get added to pm.

To be fair, neither did I. I just thought I would poke about a bit first. It's hardly intuitive, but it's hardly a massively used feature.

CC=Carbon Copy

Allows you to send copies of personal messages to individuals other than the original recipient without having to resend the PM.

BCC=Blind Carbon Copy

Allows you to send a personal message to multiple recipients in such a way that conceals individual addresses from the complete list of recipients.

In case anyone was wondering.....

And so I'm assuming we only have the "Blind Carbon Copy", is that correct?

CC is just a useful feature to communicate with more than one person at a time. I don't see a way to put more than one addressee in there. It also lets the person who is the main addressee know who else in the loop. :)
