ridiculous

If all else fails, you can always use the technique we used waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the dark ages.

Create a parking icon, resize it to the diameter you require, then use it as a template to draw round to create your circular aprons. Has the added advantage of ensuring uniformity of size.

Ah me, the good old days :smt044

I think we all did it in the good old days  I'm so glad ADE9 offers the helper shapes. Just make the shape, right click, choose "Make apron" and there you go. So easy.

As far as I remember you can not make a flatten file with ADE9.
I used to create them with Sbuilder.

Adding taxi links (or even taxi nodes/points) to an AFCAD will flatten the area around them.
They will be invisible in FS when you set the center line and the edges to invisible.

Thankyou for the tip, it worked beautifully. However. I'm still left with my original problem of this:

OK, apart from using sbuilder there is a little trick to solve your issue.

By extension of what Hartwig said, what do you think would happen if you placed an unconnected taxiway, the length of the runway, under each runway?

Aprons also create a flatten in FS2004 and FSX.

I normally would use an apron under the runway rather than at taxiway. But 6 of 1 or a half dozen of the other.
