RIP Billy Rutherford

Post by 1st Shirt »

It was announced on Avsim that Billy Rutherford has passed away at the age of 51. For those who enjoyed his civil paints and flightplans he will be missed.

A sad day in flightsimming; blue skies Billy.

He was truly devoted to his hobby, if his repaints are anything to go by. They really added that little extra something to my sim. RIP

Over 1400 contributions to AVSIM! Most of them for FS9 AI files.

He will be missed!

I personally appreciate the amount of dedication that he had put in over the years. For one man to produce that body of work it was an amazing feat.

Used many of his repaints. Taken from us at such an early age. RIP Billy.

Almost every time I looked for a paint, Billy's name would be there somewhere. He will be missed.

Whoa, I'm.. speechless.

I am (was?) one of Billys big fans, simply because of the neverending interesting mix of AI he would produce and share with the rest of us. Truly a sad day for AI afficionados and FS lovers in general :(
