Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Now that is something, those colours just go with those birds. I prefer the grey C2/C7/C10 birds look, but somehow that look is classic.

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
I personally like the camo schemes better than the modern, sterile greys, although some of the greys are quite creative with the right tail...... Here are 36 of the 122 repaints included in the 37-model IAI Kfir IDF package I just uploaded to AVSIM. This is probably my single-largest file upload for this project, just testing the waters for the forthcoming RAAF and PAF Mirage packages (will be similar-sized....). Before anybody comments that I didn't do the Kfir C1R recce model, there were only two built, and they're kind of obscure, so I didn't do them. I was kind of excited to find the IDF Test Center logo for one of the TC1's, a nice variant from the already varied schemes for six squadrons across 25 years of using this aircraft. There are four main schemes, the early/late camo, Compass Ghost two-tone grey, and a (very sterile, lol) overall grey just used for some prototypes. This package represents about 3/4 of the entire Kfir contingent I plan to do; and, except for the C10, includes all of the core Kfir models in some form. Packages for Colombia, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, ATAC, and USN/USMC will be forthcoming.
Now I can get back to Tigers (Mark) and Talons (Des)......

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Except for the Cheetahs sold to Ecuador (just found these in research this week), I think this covers South America. Some long-awaited models are here, and with the Sri Lankan Kfirs thrown in, the Kfirs are done as well except for the American-operated ones (USN/USMC, ATAC). This is the manifest of ten files that just went to AVSIM:
Ecuador: Kfir C2/CE/TC2, Mirage 50EV/DV
Colombia: Kfir C2/C7/COA/C10/TC10, Mirage COA/COD/COR/COAM/CODM
Chile: Mirage 50CN/DC Pantera, Mirage 5MA/MD Elkan, Mirage 5BR
Sri Lanka: Kfir C2/C7/TC2
I'm really close to being done with the actual Mirage packages, I might just have Australia and Pakistan left. Then some Cheetahs and the whole thing will be done.

Very cool! Amazing how many models you can get out of that one base aircraft.

In the fine tradition of Mike Pearson 90% accuracy, I uploaded ten files, and one was an accidental redundancy. The Ecuadoran Mirage 50s will be uploaded shortly, and will be on AVSIM tonight or tomorrow........

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Here's the beginning of the last chapter of the Mirage III/5 project, the Atlas Cheetah C. It's a single color because I had to merge parts from three different models, and change the texture-mapping to a single new texture assignment for now. It has a Mirage 5 back end, miscellaneous Mirage 50 parts, Kfir wings, main gear, canards, and tail (minus that big J79 air intake), and the Kfir C10 front fuselage, extended and filled it (look at the aspect of the intake cone to the canopy frame). It will probably use the Kfir paint kit as a base, but with some fuselage modifications for the expanded length. The Cheetah D and Cheetah E are much less complex than this one, so they will go in short order. But, it is nice to know that the only thing I really have to do after texturing is to re-animate the front gear since it got animations stripped to move it forward a little bit. Everything else came from other finished models, that was kind of fun to put together.

First of all; Thanks a bunch for your great work!mikeblaze wrote:Except for the Cheetahs sold to Ecuador (just found these in research this week), I think this covers South America. Question:
Are all of these paints still in use today or is there a Retro part as well?
TIA!

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
To some of the newcomers on this thread......
Since not many of these are current packages, perhaps a quarter of them or less, I specify in the documentation which are current. You have to read the doucmentation, at least the first paragraph.
Also, I am doing representative textures only for most of these packages, as the focus here is on individual country models. Smaller country users I tend to do more (or all) serials, but the larger country users (France, Australia, Pakistan) I am only doing a partial serial list. Paint kits are forthcoming this month, and the many other talented painters in the community may take up the slack if desired.
Flightplans I can do, but choose not to, because again the focus is on modeling and a little painting, and there are other very gifted persons in the community who can handle this. I can pretty much guarantee that if I started doing flightplans, somebody would request a scenery for an airport in the flightplans.
Here is the Cheetah C, got it mostly painted last night, a few little bits here and there to clean up, and some new antenna, but I might be able to choke it out in a week or so. Only two users, SAAF and Ecuador, so painting will be quick.
