Yes - installed on C. The installer has: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 but there's nothing in FS9 from the first time I ran the installer. I wish I'd put it in a folder for manual installation but as FS won't load I think all I can do is to remove it & try an installation from my last back-up.......unless another option ocurrs?

Did you install any other items into FS9 around the same time - ie. since the last time you ran FS9 successfully?

Hi. The last time I installed anything was Guy Hulin's Corsiar F4U-7, two months ago. It's a beauty & it, & everything else has been going beautifully until I clicked to install Coningsby yesterday. I thought something was up as it took ages to try to load & then stopped & won't load now. Right after 'installing' & tried to add to the library but Coningsby wasn't there.

I've looked in my FS9 folder & there's absolutely nothing to be seen. I've never experienced anything like this in the 5 yrs I've had FS9.

Believe us we've never experienced anything like this either, as you can understand we check these things time and time again before release.

I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of this though.

Have you tried the uninstall file in your control panel uninstall programmes?

Nick Black of Brize Norton fame?

Uninstall FS9? I think that's all I can do now.....I find I did a backup 7 days ago when all was well.

GM,
I have just noticed that you are using Vista64. Could this be a Vista permissions issue. We have had people in the past say that they have updated flightpland manually but that the file doesn't change.

I have Vista 64 and no issues.
If nothing installed, as he says, what could have caused a crash? Methinks there is more here that we do not know. I mean, I looked...there is nothing in that package that could even cause a crash had it installed..which he says didn't happen.

Thanks. I've got user account turned off & can't find an uninstall file.

When I clicked to install I checked the path which seems OK.
I went to add to library but couldn't find anything.
I logged out to check the FS9 folder, etc but couldn't find anything!
When I went back to FS9 it was very slow & just got to 'loading scenery' & crashed.

I'm going to try a system restore......I'll get back to you.

I'm no computer wizz, but could the specific copy of the MAIW file that you have be in some way corrupted? Would it be worth downloading another copy first, just in case?

I remember reading a topic on Simviation once & the gist was, if the file is corrupt the contents wouldn't be visible or the technical equivalent......I've got all the folders now in a desktop folder when I did an extraction. I might install it manually now.....

Just one thing - I read blurb about call-signs. If I don't do that will the package still work?

Yup, no problems not using the callsigns.

Have just installed this package today, I have a some queries; (FS9)
I do not have any Jaguars on the airfield.
Wrt the 'Static Objects Library' Folder, where in the Scenery Library should this be placed?
I have copied the 2xJaguar traffic files into Scenery/World.
Cheers

OK simply put this folder has to be below any other folder that is likely to call it. An airfield scenery can't call an object that FS9 doesn't know about. It loads in strict priority order. So realistically, when in the FS9 scenery list it should be as low as possible in exactly the same way that we say the 'MAIW Scenery Library Objects' folder from newer packages should be.

On the Jags, providing that the model folder is in your \Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\ folder and the traffic bgls are in the \Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery\ folder, with the rest of the traffic bgls then they are going to be there.
When they are at CGY they are in HAS and only come out to play at specific times. Either try using a utility like ACA2005 or AIFP to read when they are due to fly, or the Jaguar Flyby & TNG ReadMe that Mike Mac created, and is in the CGY scenery folder, will be very useful.

Thanks Steve, Will have to look at the afcad to check the parking slots for the Jags.
Re the Jag traffic files they were still in the Add On Scenery/Scenery file, I have moved them,
to Scenery/World. There is nothing about this on the info sheets.

Many Thanks
Brian
