Re: Arizona Overhaul
There will also be MC-12Ws and MQ-1s in this package, but they were shy last night when I took the screen shot.
Re: Arizona Overhaul
Looking good Brent!!
Will this package work and your other packages work in P3D v4? I am asking because I will be getting a new computer soon and I will be using P3D v4. I am looking around to see what stuff will work and what stuff will not.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
I have a question about your Davis Monthan package. Is there anything I can do to make the scenery work with FS Genesis mesh? With the mesh installed I get little hills and valley's around the airport.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
I will try to answer both questions as well as I can
1) Yes, most of my new packages should work in P3D v4... Mostly... maybe. My packages are all designed in FS9, but since the MAIW Object Libraries have been release in FSX, I have been trying to build in as much FSX comparability as I can. However, there are things that I can't make FSX compatible... such as the Sbuilder terrain polygons. In some packages that I co-develop with John Young, he has been kind enough to make some of the need FSX updates. In other packages, the FSX/P3D user will need to do those themselves.
2) This issue is caused by a difference in how FS9 and FSX handle terrain altitude and airport objects. It will happen to most FS9 scenery imported into FSX. My understanding is that there is a simply fix. The scenery needs a FSX flatten file. I am sure the FSX guys can help you with that.
If anyone wants to make and share FSX updates to any of the projects I have done, please do. Usual rules apply. Give credit to the MAIW guys who made all this possible, don't ever try to charge for it etc. etc.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Libby AAF is live in the Download Hangar now.
So, remaining parts of the project in order:
1) Finish doing the DM A-10Cs for the new John Young model being created
2) Yuma Proving Ground
3) Finish the FPs for the original Army helicopter projects
4) Finish the FPs for the VMA-214 update

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Thanks for the Libby scenery. There any FP's for the USCBP MQ-9's?

There were no flightplans in that package, Brent.
Did anybody release any Reaper/Predator plans?

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Well... um... that's what I get for not reading closely enough...
So, the short answer is that yes, there are flightplans for them pre-existing this package. There was always one under it's sun shelter when I was testing.
The real question is where did the FP come from then... I'll endeavor to figure that out.
*edit*
Found them: http://www.militaryaiworks.com/forums/2 ... bp#p111830
Joecoastie made them.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Downloading Libby now, very cool addition and for those that don't know, it's the Army's "OCU" for the MC-12/RC-12 and UAS.

Thanks, Brent.
Like most things there are there if you know the right search but guessing what somebody else might save things under can be tricky.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
FHU checks good in FSX, well almost with 3 stock autogen buildings on the ramp. Also, MC-12S #280 has moved to Ft. Hood, TX, no reason to change it just yet.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Updates:
Davis Monthan V3 is up for FS9, the FSX version will follow when John gets back from Holiday. No, V3 wasn't planned when V2 went up not to long ago. I had no clue John was going to do the A-10s then. We took the opportunity to make it a full stand alone package, no longer requiring the original package. All the various bits that had been previously made, plus some new ones are now included. The only thing not included are the HH-60G pavehawks. That is because they are part of a larger global package.
A question was asked in Johns A-10 thread if the USCBP UH-60s will be revisited to represent some without the FLIR mount. I seriously doubt John is going to revisit that model to make one without the FLIR mount. That said, there is kind of a way to do it. Johns UH-60 models are mostly what I call Complex to Simple compatible. That is, simpler models will accept the paints of their more complex offspring. For example, paints made for the Armed MH-60S models will work on the wingless models. So, since the USCBP model is made from the UH-60L parent model..
As with all things, there are tradeoffs. 1) You lose the reflective finish of the USCBP model. You also lose the spotlight and gain the disco ball, are flare dispensors... so it doesn't directly represent a USCBP UH-60 with the FLIR removed.
Laguna AAF is about 2/3 done. In order to accurately portray that soul sucking feeling that you are at the second worst place in the CONUS (Twenty Nine Palms always being the worst), we proudly present you the return of the Port-a-Potty:

Re: Arizona Overhaul
PHX: No. Phoenix is too large an complex an airport to be done justice with the libraries available to me. It truly deserves a full custom job, many of which are already available.
TUS: Most likely, after the appropriate F-16 models are made available. That's not going to be near future though.

Re: Arizona Overhaul
Oh sorry if I asked Tucson really deserves the Brent Newman treatment though what do you mean after the appropriate models are available
Re: Arizona Overhaul
He means the correct MAIW F-16 versions.
