Re: JYAI Boeing KC-46A’s
On another Tanker topic, you may have heard about the Air Force's new Bridge Tanker or "KC-Y" program to compliment the 135s and 46s. Lockheed Martin has partnered with Airbus to launch the LMXT, which is basically the A330 MRTT. Should be interesting for what Boeing or who else might prop...

Re: Aircraft storage during the Covid Pandemic
Even before the Pandemic and to this day, Victorville has been one of the US' major aircraft Boneyards. A variety of different aircraft have flown into VCV to be put into storage or scrapped. Back in the George AFB era, it was a major fighter base back in the Cold War and hosted many different Cold ...

Re: JYAI KC-10A
The 10 Tankers are looking great John. One part I'm finding a bit odd is the center main gear going through the Retardant Tank, because the 10 Tankers don't use it since the rear Tank is blocking the gear doors (I'm sure it's still there, just in the retracted position). Is there any way to maybe mo...

Re: The Last Viking
Yesterday, N601NA made it's final flight from Cleveland, with a stopover in El Paso, finally arriving in San Diego where it made a touch and go at NAS North Island, then flew to and landed at Gillespie Field, where the Hoover will be put on display. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn4aeAZ82hw Many m...

The Last Viking
Today, the last airworthy S-3 Viking, flown by NASA's Glenn Research Center, has officially been retired. N601NA, formerly BuNo 160607, is the last S-3 that rolled off the production line at Burbank. It has been the only flying S-3 since VX-30 retired theirs in 2016. This Hoover will be heading to t...

Re: Thoughts on the next project
It's an idea, but could a KDC-10 model be made from the KC-10 too? Omega has a DC-10-40 with two drogue pods on the wings, and they've purchased the two RNLAF jets, with the second one coming this year.

One future idea for the USN side, the Grumman S-2 Tracker/C-1 Trader/ and maybe the E-1 Tracer.

Re: Agusta A109's
Maybe for future repaints, one of the models could be used to replicate the MH-68A Stingrays the Coast Guard used to fly for counter drug missions? I wish I could paint them, but I unfortunately don't have FSX with me and I got limited space on my laptop. Just an idea for someone to try out. https:/...

Super Hornet Ski Jump
Boeing, along with VX-23 tested the F/A-18E at Pax River to demonstrate the Super Hornet's ability to take off from Carriers with Ski Jumps. This test was aimed at the Indian Navy who are finding a replacement for the MiG-29Ks. https://assets.newatlas.com/dims4/default/fd077cc/2147483647/strip/true/...

For a future suggestion; maybe a Grumman S-2 Tracker as there don’t seem to be any models for the type.

Re: Going to the Air Force
Hi Everybody, I’m back here after being dark for almost 8 weeks. So first off, I made it though my 7 weeks of BMT at Lackland and I’m now officially an Airman in the US Air Force. After graduation last week, I flew on a chartered 737 from Kelly Field to my Tech School at Sheppard AFB. I’m now gettin...

Good Afternoon Everyone, It's been awhile since I've chatted on this for so I'll catch all of you up of what's been happening. So first and foremost: I finally have a job in the Air Force booked for me. The job is Bomber/Special Electronic Warfare/Radar maintenance. I'm scheduled to ship out to Lack...

That's completely understandable. I can definitely survive without any new files, I've just been curious. My apologies for wording my question like that.

Re: AI Disappears after refueling
I thought of doing some more work on my updated scenery for Edwards and it's still having a problem of aircraft disappearing when they are supposed to push back. The strange thing is that all the parking spots have a taxi path to the runways, so I error checked and the only major findings is a dupli...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials
So this is an update of some of my earlier work; the C-130s currently active with VX-20 at Pax River. According to Scramble, they have 3 KC-130Ts, 1 C-130T, and 1 KC-130J. These paints are based on limited imagery as there aren't any current pictures of any of the aircraft. https://i.postimg.cc/qBmd...

The first CMV-22B delivered to North Island.
On June 22, VRM-30, VRC-30's replacement, received their first Osprey at NAS North Island. And before anyone asks; yes, I have made a paint of the Navy's Osprey with John's model. https://preview.redd.it/r7wwmkebbk651.jpg?auto=webp&s=00f82ea10f03d6d85d422ac65f2829b200a893fe Article: https://coro...
