Navy T-38s
Hey, In a brazen attempt to get interest going again in the T-38s, I was thinking that since MAIW had kicked out a lot of Navy stuff in the past weeks, that maybe it could be mentioned that the Navy uses T-38s at the Navy Test Pilot School that I believe is at Pax River. They have a really kicking p...

Outstanding. I've gotten lazy with my T-38 installs and I have several folders to update instead of having them all in one aircraft folder. May have to combine them all into one aircraft folder when I get some time. No worries though - the new glass sure looks good. Another great package. I'm really...

There's a package at Flightsim.com that has a bunch of New Jersey airport scenery - a lot of small GA airports and Atlantic City Intl. The KACY scenery's not that bad (although the FAA hangar and the ANG hangar are huge and funny looking, and there's a lot of static airplanes that need to be exclude...

Steve, I watched the planes for a while and just noticed that they seemed to bob a lot when they came off the brakes, and the nosewheel smoked on tight turns during taxi. I thought maybe the CG might be a little aft of center or the pitch MOI could be a little high. So figured I'd push the CG forewa...

I just use the traffic explorer that comes with the SDK. Steve, I would be agreeing with you if I hadn't seen the SJ F-15s do this at Little Rock and Davis Mothan, as well. At Offutt, they took off ok, but one crashed when it began to taxi after holding position for a plane in front of it. At Chyenn...

Oh, well...at least the planes look nice when they're parked... I thought it was a scenery or AFCAD thing too, but when I saw the F-15Es doing it at other bases, then I started leaning towards an FDE problem. But none of the Lakenheath F-15Es did this, and they should have the exact same flight dyna...

I pulled all the AFCADs and deactivated all the scenery that I have in NC and still got the problem. I will probably start swapping out AI planes in the KGSB F-15E flightplan to see if that has anything to do with it. I'll use some of the KSGB F-15Es in some flightplans that I know work to see how t...

Hi Mike and Steve, Yes, this is only happening with the Seymore Johnson F-15Es. To answer all your questions: 1. Please confirm that there is only one afcad for KGSB in your system, other than the built in default. Easiest way to tell is to load up Afcad and look at KGSB. <ans> Yup, only one AFCAD -...

F-15E's Keep Crashing at the Hold Short line
I downloaded this package today and installed it. I used the John Stinstrom scenery, so I used the custom AFCAD provided as per the instructions. Everything looked normal until the F-15Es started to taxi for takeoff. They'd get to the Hold Short line OK, but as they taxied toward the runway after be...

I initially started with MSPaint (which is good for VERY VERY simple work), then fell in love with Photoshop because it was so powerful (with layers, you can do whole squadrons in minutes). I use DXT2BMP to convert the product to a DXT texture. GIMP has the benefit of being free, but its interface i...

Man, after the Holloman AFB package, I got the fever for some more T-38 action! The random screenie with the Beale AFB Talon that pops up on the home page here just makes it worse. Anybody know what the status is (if any) of the various Talon projects that were discussed in threads gone by? Is there...
