Hey Daryl....
Good looking scenery, glad I could help a little to liven it up. I bet you didn't catch the small but embarassing omission on my F-4J models, it will be fixed with an update to be included in my upcoming F-4J (USN) release.

Hah nope I didn't so you could have gotten away with that. The scenery was done by the lovely chaps here, I just kicked up the afcad to make it compatible with Phantoms
Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
Check for exclude files. I had that when I added the MAIW Apache scenery the HAS were missing due to an exclude from and earlier item.

Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
So, if i just remove the Apache Bases scenery, the HAS's and buildings will stay and will aircraft parked out there?
Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
So long as you keep all the files I listed in the readme, you can delete what you want; the ones I listed pertain to Wattisham.
Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
Daryl, very nice mate, I can't find it but one of the phantom's from 56 had a red tail fin? (one also lost a fuel tank and another lost a panel on his right engine). Cheers nice seeing them back again mate

Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
The situation with Team SDB has been resolved after a couple emails from Mike Dews, and he has now replaced mine with the one originally done by Frank Safranek for the package. It all boiled down to putting the wrong file in the package - we've all done it at some point
Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
Here's some oldies from Wattisham during a Battle of Britain exercise mid 80's I'll have to find the F-4 shots.

Ok in 1992 the red tails were "O" XV494 "N" XV473 "I" XV424 "X" XT903 "R" XV460 that's as far as I can find. I like the "dirty" look of the F-4's you have captured those spot on mate.

Lovely shots mate. Those two in the first pic, are they decoys? I assume they are because it looks like one is parked on the grass.

As far as I can recall, did they not paint all the aircraft with the Red Tail during their last days of operation?timbob1 wrote:Ok in 1992 the red tails were "O" XV494 "N" XV473 "I" XV424 "X" XT903 "R" XV460 that's as far as I can find. I recall there was one of them sitting at Benbecula Airport, just after 56 Sqn stood down.

No mate my sites are set clearly on 89-90 period.....
Re: RAF Wattisham......finally!
XT901/Y was the one originally painted with the sharks mouth, back in '83, but it was designed so that the nose cone could be transfered to other aircraft.
I believe that on at least one occasion that the nose cone was transfered to another and I also believe that a second nose cone was produced. I heard that it was kind of semi-accepted but then the 11 Grp SASO saw them at an air show at Finningley and threw a wobbly, something about paint reducing radar range so they had to be removed. All this happened after I left the Sqn so I can't give confirmation.
