Re: MGAI/MAIW KC-135
I have these C-135/KC,EC,WC,OC variants all converted to FSX and titled with (FSX). These models all looked great during my last visit to Offutt AFB in P3Dv4.5. However, the RC-135 was based on CFM engines.

Re: Navy Jacksonville (KNIP) no AI in P3D 5.2
I would recommend searching the folder that contains ORBX Global airports to see if there is a KNIP there which might only have a few generic parking spots.

Re: Thoughts on the next project
John,
Thanks for sharing these thoughts on next project.
I would definitely try and work up to building the UH-1. If I could ever dedicate time to learning modeling and working at it for a bit. This would definitely open Pandora's box for retro repaints.

Re: CH-53 Family
Excuse me while I put my brain back in my head!
These will definitely round out my bases! And the Air Force MH-53s will go well with my retro plans. I can't say thank you loud enough.
Ooh-rah!

Re: Navy Jacksonville (KNIP) no AI in P3D 5.2
I am so glad I found this topic. I lost a lot of sleep last week trying to resolve the no-AI issue in both P3Dv4.5 and P3Dv5
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: CH-53 Family
I did a brief flight with the MH-53 in P3Dv5 and all the animations looked fine. I will also experiment with using the E model in limited numbers to populate MCAS New River and MCAS Miramar.

Very good idea on the ch47D_414 model. It does more closely resemble the MH-47G.

Re: NBAI Boeing CH-47D Chinooks Painted as MH-47G
Thanks all for replies. I've looked at ModelConverterX briefly, but have a lot to learn.
The fuel tanks are pretty fat on the MH-47s. Also, noticed a few recent photos that look like some sort of heat shield around the exhausts on the engines.

NBAI Boeing CH-47D Chinooks Painted as MH-47G
I was recently interested in simulating MH-47s at Joint Base Lewis - McChord. Here is a screenshot of repaints of the fabulous Nick Black's CH-47D only missing the refuel probe and other Special Ops equipment.

I remember the all green and green/grey camo. I look forward to having these in P3Dv4 and 5.

Re: U.S. Air Force Shooting Stars
That's great! I remember seeing T-33s. 144th FW ANG had 2 of them along with their F-106s at the time. These models will go well with some of my retro projects.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Flight planning question
I have a flight plan for the Maryland A-10's. The plans have them going to lots of different airports in the area. I want to change some of the plans so they take off from their home base (KMTN) then land back at base. What would be the best way to do this? Would be better to have i like the first ...

Hi Chris,
Are you seeing the pixelated textures in the sim or just when opening individual textures? I'm trying to gauge where you might be experiencing problems and I can try to correct before uploading more files.

Re: NBAI F/A-18E
I might need to add some orange to the yellow areas. It's hard to tell with lighting on most photo's I found on the web. My original plan was to do the tail design that was more of a triangle with gray strips through it. But when I viewed the most recent dated photos it appears that this design was ...

Re: Carrier Airport
I'm very interested in making use of the tutorial and having custom carrier traffic. As an additional characteristic of carrier as an airport I have yet to successfully create AI overhead patterns. Many years back I tried to flight plan AI traffic to waypoints over the destination airfield. The othe...
